Community Involvement
Heartland is different from other financial service providers in many ways.
We Are a Credit Union. Watch Video
We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by our members. Our mission is to provide quality savings, borrowing, and financial services with rates and fees more favorable than from other financial sources. Enjoying the benefits available at Heartland requires your membership. Membership is available and open to all residents, church attendees, employees, and students of Clark, Greene, Miami, and Montgomery counties within the state of Ohio.
We Only Answer to You.
We operate under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors who are selected from, and by, the membership. Election of board members is held annually with each Heartland FCU member present permitted to cast one vote for their candidates of choice.
We Care.
Since credit unions are member-owned, not-for-profits, our main focus is on our members and community. We are driven by the philosophy "people helping people". Below are just some of the ways we are working toward that goal.
- Children's Miracle Network - Throughout the year, our staff raises money for Children's Miracle Network, under the umbrella of "Credit Union for Kids."
- Food Drive - All our branches have food barrels during this holiday season. Moraine and Kettering branches are collecting for the Dayton Food Bank; our Springfield branch is collecting for Second Harvest; and our Piqua branch is collecting for Shared Harvest Food Bank. Please bring your canned goods to one of our locations to help support our local food banks.
- Alzheimer's Walk - On Saturday, October 10 some of our staff members walked in the Alzheimer's Walk.
