Mission Statement
Heartland Federal Credit Union is a growing and fiscally sound financial institution. Our commitment to you, our member, is to provide safe, competitive, financial services and information in a friendly and professional manner.
What is a Credit Union?
A Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members. Its purpose is to provide quality savings, borrowing, and financial services with rates and fees more favorable than from other financial sources.
Membership to Heartland Federal Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the Ohio counties of Clark, Greene, Miami, and Montgomery.
Heartland FCU operates under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors who are selected from, and by, the membership. Election of Board Members is held annually with each Heartland FCU member present permitted to cast one vote for their candidates of choice.
How is Heartland Federal Credit Union Regulated and Monitored?
Heartland Federal Credit Union is a federally-chartered, federally-insured Credit Union monitored and routinely reviewed by The
National Credit Union Administration. The Board of Directors is responsible for setting and monitoring policies. The Supervisory Committee is responsible for overseeing the Credit Union's financial position and an annual audit of the Credit Union.
